How It Works
Choose two or more components — you don't need a full build. The checker runs the selection through nine spec validators covering the CPU-motherboard socket, RAM type and speed, PSU wattage and headroom, GPU power connectors, GPU length versus case clearance, motherboard and PSU form factors, M.2 and SATA storage slots, and total system power. Methodology & Data Sources
Every product in our catalog carries structured specifications — socket, memory type and speed, TDP, recommended PSU wattage, power connectors, card length, form factor and storage interfaces — sourced from the manufacturers' official spec sheets. The nine validators compare these fields directly: sockets must match exactly, RAM type must be supported, the PSU must meet the GPU's minimum wattage with headroom flagged below 20%, the GPU must physically fit the case, and storage must have a free M.2 or SATA slot. On top of the spec checks, our build team maintains manual compatibility rules for known real-world conflicts that specs alone don't capture. How do I know if my CPU is compatible with my motherboard?
The CPU's socket must exactly match the motherboard's socket — an AM5 processor needs an AM5 board, an LGA1700 chip needs an LGA1700 board. Chipset and BIOS support also matter for very new CPUs on older boards. Select both parts above and the checker verifies the socket match instantly.
Will any DDR5 RAM work with my motherboard?
The memory type must match — a DDR5 board physically cannot take DDR4 sticks, and vice versa. Beyond the type, every board has a maximum supported memory speed; faster kits usually still run, just downclocked to what the board supports. The checker validates the type as a hard requirement and flags speed mismatches as warnings.
How do I know if my power supply is enough for my GPU?
Compare the GPU manufacturer's recommended PSU wattage against your unit's rating, and confirm the PSU has the required PCIe or 12VHPWR connectors. The checker does both, and also totals the whole build's power draw to confirm the PSU covers everything with sensible headroom — under 20% headroom gets flagged.
Will my graphics card fit in my case?
Every case publishes a maximum GPU length and every card publishes its length — modern high-end cards run well past 330mm and don't fit many compact cases. The checker compares the two numbers and warns you when the fit is tighter than 10mm, since cables and drive cages eat into the printed clearance.
Can I check just two parts, or do I need a full build?
